Who We Are

The Sanctuary at Matlock Farms is a woodland sanctuary for animals in need of shelter, healing, and a second chance.
We provide lifelong care and medical support to vulnerable cats and dogs in Fayette and Shelby County, Tennessee—and when the time is right, we help them find safe, loving homes.

Hi, I’m Allie. I run Matlock Farms, a small animal sanctuary tucked into the woods of Tennessee—though some days it feels more like a group project between me, the forest, and a bunch of feral gremlins.

It started with one cat. Then her family. Then some loud dogs. Then... well, here we are.

Now I live on seven acres with thirteen animals, an always-growing to-do list, and a heart that refuses to quit. We provide shelter, medical care, and second chances for animals in Fayette and Shelby County—some stay forever, some find new homes, but all of them are safe here.

This place isn’t fancy. It’s muddy and chaotic and held together by coffee, duct tape, and donations from kind strangers who become part of our weird little family.

If you’re new here: welcome. If you’ve been with us a while—thank you. 🐾
