In some ways, we’re a typical farm.
We bought this land in 2024 to grow our own food and flowers, seeking an independent and sustainable lifestyle for our family.
In other ways, what we grow is less conventional.
We use our land to rehabilitate abandoned and abused animals. We cultivate native plants to nourish pollinators and create safe spaces for all of our forest friends. We sponsor community gardens and organize fundraising events to bring resources to neighbors in need.
At Matlock Farms, we’re planting seeds that help grow our community.
Mission 1: Animal Rehabilitation & Sanctuary
We provide safe, nurturing environments for abandoned and abused animals, focusing on healing, stability, and long-term well-being. Our approach centers on dignity, enrichment, and allowing each animal to thrive at their own pace.
Mission 2: Ecological Restoration & Pollinator Support
We restore and protect the land by cultivating native plants that nourish pollinators and support local wildlife. Through thoughtful stewardship of our fields and forest, we help strengthen the ecosystems that sustain us all.
Mission 3: Community Care & Resource Sharing
We extend our mission beyond the farm by supporting community gardens and hosting fundraising events that bring resources to neighbors in need. By sharing what we grow, we help build a more connected and resilient community.
Meet the Leadership Team
Allie Matlock
With over 15 years of professional experience in animal rescue work and a background in sustainable agriculture, Allie has one mission: to care for land, animals, and community as parts of a single, living system.
She founded Matlock Farms as a place where abandoned and abused animals can heal, native plants can restore balance to the ecosystem, and stewardship of the land becomes a way to support people as well as wildlife. Her work is rooted in patience, responsibility, and the belief that meaningful change happens through consistent, thoughtful care.
Allie lives on the farm with her family and the animals who call it home, tending to both the visible work of daily care and the quieter work of planting seeds for a more connected, compassionate community.
